FINANCIAL CONTROLLER JOB (CONSUMER GOODS)

Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of one of the world’s leading food manufacturing companies. Our respected client is seeking somebody with extensive experience as the financial controller of a manufacturing company, preferably with at least 5 years’ of experience with consumer goods/manufacturing company, for the job of Financial Controller, to be based in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Reviews and certifies as to correctness of all Cash Disbursements, Vouchers, Journal Vouchers, Purchase Orders, Debit and Credit Memos, and all other transactions which are accounting and finance related.
- Reviews and certifies as to the correctness of all daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports submitted to Director of Finance, Operations Manager, CEO and to the Asian Board.
- Monitors the timely submission of all financial-related reports from all bookkeepers of all plants and miniplants and from operations.
- Liaises with the other officers and managers for Production Planning and Control in the annual counts of property and equipment, finished goods and plant supplies inventory; and also in the design, preparation and implementation of periodic reports.
- Maintains or develops and establishes when necessary, the general and cost accounting systems at all levels, to ensure that the recording of all financial transactions in the accounting records.
- Providing external and internal auditors with the necessary assistance, including providing adequate and necessary information and evidences required by them and facilitates to keep audit costs to the minimum.
- Manages and supervises local and national taxes, including interfaces with taxing authorities, agents and tax consultants on all tax issues, including “transfer pricing” and ensures that adequate and timely attention are provided to resolution of these issues, keeping in mind the best interest to the Company.
- Ensures the maintenance of adequate and complete records of Lampung plant, property and equipment; and institutes adequate insurance programs and coverage at the most cost-effective premium costs.
- Establishes and manages the records retention program of Lampung making sure the requirements of regulatory agencies are complied with.
- Assists management in purchasing, inventory, capital asset management, logistics and human resources.
- Dealing with local manpower and regulatory authorities.
- Provide assistance to tax consultants in processing tax refunds.
- Review logistics and shipping processes, recommend and implement efficient system including coordinating with shipping and trucking agencies.
- Review finance manpower complement, recommend efficient structure, implement/enforce action plan.
- Handle finance and accounting staff issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance-related field
- Min. 3 years’ experience as financial controller of a manufacturing company handling multiple locations.
- Min. 5 years’ experience in accounting and finance for a manufacturing company.
- Excellent and comprehensive understanding of Indonesia tax, customs and labor laws.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills (in Bahasa and English).
